Trying to calm her beating heart, she crept closer to the front door. Her knees ached from crawling on the hard floor. Her damp jeans chafed and clung to her hips with every movement. There wasn’t a need for extraneous locks and deadbolts. The sound of crunching gravel alerted her to a car traveling up the long driveway even before she saw the headlights. Cringing at the loud squeak the back screen door made as she carefully opened it, Chloe crouched low as she crossed the study into the kitchen.

This book is about a young woman trying to escape her past and the deadly consequences that are plaguing her. She gets a visit by a man who's looking for something and he'll do whatever he has to, to find it. While doing so she will have to submit completely to him and let him be her daddy.
His cock twitched the moment the forced endearment left her lips. Logan wasn’t sure where the request of his even came from. It was not like he went around demanding the women in his life call him daddy. If ever there was a girl who needed a father-figure in her life, some discipline, it was her. I do love a dark, gritty read & although it did have this as a trigger type warning, I actually didn’t find it to be the case at all. It also meant it was a bit of a rush to the HEA.

This is my first book from Zoe Blake but it certainly won't be my last. This was on the shorter side yet packed with a lot of intrigue and a huge amount of hotness. I liked both characters, especially when they were steaming up my Kindle. Really my only complaint was not getting a lot of information about them.
There were her late uncle’s hunting rifles in the gun cabinet in the living room, but she would have to crawl back through the kitchen. The door wasn’t even secured with a deadbolt, just a simple key lock. She lived in a cabin in the woods in the middle of nowhere in upstate Michigan where all the neighbors knew one another.

The hero, Logan or antihero is deliciously dark, dominant and the total embodiment of sex-on-a-stick. “Daddy’s Home” is filled with decadently dark, dirty, kinky intimate encounters that will leave you breathless and literally hungering for more. I found this book to be well written and very well paced.

Leaning against the wall to the right of the door, Chloe tilted her head and listened. Chloe held her breath, straining to hear the sound of any movement outside. The sound of an engine turning off.
The generous top curves of her breasts encased in delicate white lace were clearly on display. Embroidered onto the bra, right in the center, nestled in her cleavage was a small pink design. Piercing blue eyes watched her with amusement. Find all the books, read about the author, and more. This is the third Zoe Blake book I've read, and I can say it was enjoyable enough to keep me reading even though Live PD was on the TV. How far will Logan go to get the answers and property he has been hired to retrieve.
Chloe realizes that she can't hide anymore when her tranquil place is ruined by her past. Of course, things could have been different later in the book, but combining dub-con/non-con with Daddy kink is a hard limit for me. Lots of steamy scenes and plenty of suspense for a short 'ish read. The disgusting assaults on the h by H were very disturbing. She was crying and begging him to stop and he didn't care. So there you have it, a brief outline of what the reader is plunged straight into, within a very short time of starting this tale.
“You know why, babygirl.” His voice was low and even. Logan raised his free hand and brought it swiftly down on her left bottom cheek. The crack of his open palm on her delicate skin echoed around the room. She started to twist her hips, her bottom pushing out, brushing his already hard cock.
We get to the end of the book and know absolutely nothing of consequence about the "hero". It left a bad taste in my mouth. Third, there are a few spelling errors, but I know Zoe's editor will clean that up with her final pass before official publication.
There’s some jealousy and a whole lot of possessiveness, and the h runs so the H has to pursue her which is another aspect I really enjoyed. This is a thrilling story and has put new-to-me author Zoe Blake on my radar. The story does not have a build-up, but rather the reader is thrown into the fray from the start. Chloe was hiding from her past mistakes and a boyfriend who was now in jail. ”The man looked like the type of prison thug you only saw in the movies…or mug shots on the news.
Some authors failing to hit that perfect spot entirely with it just coming across as well, extremely icky indeed. She opened her eyes and turned her head to look over her shoulder. Chloe saw her tormentor through a prism of tears. He looked fearsome standing there in his torn jeans and tight white t-shirt. The dark ink of his tattoos peeked through the thin fabric, an ominous staccato across his tanned skin. In his fist was the folded leather belt.
Flushed with pain, they almost matched the crimson blush on her bottom. This time the strap fell just below her cheeks to catch her upper thighs. A red angry stripe appeared on her flesh. Her howls of pain bounced off the wall. He raised his arm and swung it sharply forward, catching her bare backside with the smooth, wide side of his belt. The contact of leather and skin made a deep, cracking noise.
